Technology Acceleration Manager Low Carbon Buildings

Our client's role is to accelerate the move to a low carbon economy by developing commercial low carbon technologies and working with business and the public sector to reduce carbon emissions. Technology acceleration projects aim to identify and remove barriers to the emergence, commercialisation and adoption of low carbon technologies.

Working in a small team, the successful candidates are required to manage a range of initiatives focused on accelerating the adoption of low carbon buildings. This includes leading two existing multi-million £ projects initiatives, one focused on lower carbon solutions for building refurbishment, and one providing advice, data collection and dissemination as part the Government's Low Carbon Building Programme. The latter is focused predominantly on leading-edge new buildings and delivering holistic combinations of energy efficiency and on-site generation technology. 

You will also be required to contribute to the scoping/development of a pipeline of new low carbon building related projects, and launching and managing new projects as required.

The successful candidate will have significant project/programme management experience, including exposure to senior management, at an engineering, manufacturing or technology related business, or a high-end engineering consultancy

Degree educated, ideally in a science/engineering discipline, you will be an expert in your chosen technology field - marine energy (wave or tidal energy), fuel cells, carbon capture and storage or low carbon industrial buildings.
