Solar Business Development Manager
Our client is a Fortune Global 500 company, and is the largest private sector company in India. They are seeking a Solar Business Development Manager to enter the European markets by utilising your expansive network in the solar industry in Europe.
Role:
- Responsible for developing the solar business based on solar photovoltaic technology specifically for Spain and Europe
- Work across the solar value chain in various new business/market development activities
- Lead all strategic partnership activities with businesses
- Identify and lead additional market development activities
- Represent company's interests in customer negotiations, pursue key accounts among rural and urban household, commercial and industrial customers
Required knowledge and experience:
- University/technical degree (BS, Masters or equivalent)
- Significant experience in sales/business development in solar industry in a lead role, with extensive experience with commercial, governmental, utility and residential clients
- Basic technical understanding of solar products; familiarity with renewable energy and climate technology and policy
- Candidate should have proven analytical skill set and strategic mindset
- Strong external focus with a passion for quality
- Ability to effectively interface with customers
- Experience with developing and implementing investment and business strategy
- Proven ability to drive projects to closure in a heavily matrixed and global environment
- Very strong process & programme management skills
- Proven communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Be highly energetic and self-motivated and be comfortable working in a start-up environment
- Willingness to travel - domestic and abroad
- Fluent in English and Spanish, oral and written. Other European languages like German/ French are an added advantage as well as some Indian languages skills.
