Solar Business Development Manager

Our client is a Fortune Global 500 company, and is the largest private sector company in India. They are seeking a Solar Business Development Manager to enter the European markets by utilising your expansive network in the solar industry in Europe.

Role:

  • Responsible for developing the solar business based on solar photovoltaic technology specifically for Spain and Europe
  • Work across the solar value chain in various new business/market development activities
  • Lead all strategic partnership activities with businesses
  • Identify and lead additional market development activities
  • Represent company's interests in customer negotiations, pursue key accounts among rural and urban household, commercial and industrial customers

Required knowledge and experience:

  • University/technical degree (BS, Masters or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in sales/business development in solar industry in a lead role, with extensive experience with commercial, governmental, utility and residential clients
  • Basic technical understanding of solar products; familiarity with renewable energy and climate technology and policy
  • Candidate should have proven analytical skill set and strategic mindset
  • Strong external focus with a passion for quality
  • Ability to effectively interface with customers
  • Experience with developing and implementing investment and business strategy
  • Proven ability to drive projects to closure in a heavily matrixed and global environment
  • Very strong process & programme management skills
  • Proven communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Be highly energetic and self-motivated and be comfortable working in a start-up environment
  • Willingness to travel - domestic and abroad
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, oral and written. Other European languages like German/ French are an added advantage as well as some Indian languages skills.
