Research and Development Manager

Our client's role is to accelerate the move to a low carbon economy by developing commercial low carbon technologies and working with business and the public sector to reduce carbon emissions.

As Research and Development Manager you will recruit and deliver R&D projects that accelerate progress of low carbon technologies towards large scale deployment. You will procure research that is relevant to the needs of our client and manage the resulting projects so as to maximise their long term impact on the commercialisation of low carbon technologies.

Your key skills will comprise of;

• Strong technical and business skills
• Strong (research) project/programme management skills
• Good problem solving skills
• Good interpersonal and influencing skills with research providers and the potential beneficiaries of R&D
• Good communication skills (written and oral)
• Ability to work effectively in a complex team environment
• Ability to work on standalone basis
