Low Carbon Director of Investment (Greater China)

A leading investment banking group deeply involved in the low carbon economy is actively seeking a Director of investments for their Beijing office.

The Director of Investments will be responsible for:

• Assisting the Head of Investments in China to manage all aspects of investment activities
• The execution, due diligence and closing of low carbon projects in China and Asia
• Quality control for all IC memos/presentations
• Managing day-to-day operation/resources of the renewable energy investment teams
• Supervising and co-ordinating all financial modeling and analysis for low carbon projects
• Assisting the Head of Investments to manage/exit investment assets
• Preparing regular investment reports

Key competencies and qualifications include:

• Extensive investment banking, asset management or investment experience for energy projects
• Strong leadership in the execution of transactions
• The ability to establish credibility and represent the organisation with external parties including clients and investors
• A proven track-record of identifying market opportunities in Asia and mobilising teams to take advantage of them
• Strong decision-making, problem solving, financial and analytical skills
• Ability to prioritise effectively and multi-task in a highly pressured environment
• Fluent and confident in both Chinese and English
• The ability to communicate and negotiate with external parties in both languages
• Experience in Asia and especially China demonstrating a strong cultural awareness
