International Emission Trading Specialist

An Emission Trading Specialist is required by a leading international consultancy that has specialised in renewable energy, energy efficiency and climate change, to be based in any of their fast-growing international offices (in Europe mainly).

The successful candidate has the professional and personal capacities to contribute to the strengthening and further expansion of their emission trading activities, as well as experience of emissions trading and emission reduction potentials in the power sector and industry with a commercial attitude.

You will be responsible for developing and marketing new ETS-related activities, managing large ETS projects and providing specialist knowledge to colleagues and clients. Together with project managers and national workfield managers, you will be responsible for ensuring consistency across countries and related topics, and will represent our client in national and international environments, and identify opportunities for profiling the business.

Requirements:

• Experience with advising on policy/strategy, especially in politically sensitive arenas
• Experience in a commercial environment, including acquiring new funding
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent (verbal and written) communication and presentation skills in English
• Additional languages are an advantage
