Innovations and Insights Manager

As the Innovations and Insights Manager you will ensure you exploit maximum benefit from our client's innovations and insights activities. 

Key to the role will be:

• Liaising with and providing colleagues with information on Northern Ireland-specific needs and market intelligence in order to ensure support systems are appropriate
• Feeding into business development and commercial activity, ideas generation and evaluation to represent the Northern Ireland perspective
• Working with Northern Ireland based innovators and companies to scope out and develop a strong pipeline of high quality applications into our R&D and Incubation programmes
• Working to maximise the impact of our clients organisation supporting low carbon innovation activities on the Northern Ireland economy
• Managing discrete projects including leading procurement processes, inputting to assessment processes, negotiating appropriate (commercial) frameworks, and then driving resulting projects forward
• Developing and delivering technology, policy and commercial insights and communicating these to Northern Ireland based stakeholders, sector players, policy makers etc.

The successful candidate will be degree educated in a relevant science or engineering discipline ideally with a higher degree based on research. Possess a substantive track record in technology development (wind, tidal, wave or biomass) or business/strategy consulting, including working closely with senior management with experience in developing commercialisation plans for new products or new markets.
